CHAIRMAN.
International Grade A BSJA Silver Disk

Chairman was (sadly put down in 2007) the only stallion in the UK with such a close-up cross of the two very best Holsteiner performance bloodlines Cor de la Bryere and Lord and as such, he is an outstanding prospect as a sire of all types of sportshorse, particularly Showjumpers from a wide range of mares. It should be noted that his athletic paces and, in particular, his elevated trot are being notice by prominent dressage professionals who are choosing him to sire their Dressage horses of the future. He is a really beautiful Holstein Stallion with an outstanding temperament, he stood at 16.3HH.

UMENNO.
Umenno possesses an incredible trainable temperament, flamboyant & powerful movement, a beautifully marked chestnut and white robe, and a pedigree of legendary ancestry he stands at 16.1HH.
Umenno has been bred with athleticism in mind. He is an expressive powerful mover with off the floor paces and an additional flick to the toe.
Umenno's grading with the SSH and BSPA His status as a stallion. On 20th of March 2004 Umenno was graded by KWPN stallion inspector M A. Hoefs at The Scottish Sports Horse Stallion Grading and awarded Registered Status. M. A. Hoeffs announced to the audience "A stallion showing great expression to his movement good conformation, a very good horse! Umenno's offspring are eligible for registration and passports with the SSH and the KWPN Reg B both of which are fully approved EU and WBSHF studbooks.
Umenno's sire (now deceased) belonged to the famous VDL Stud in Holland. Not only was Wellington a successful Showjumper, but he was also an achieved Dressage stallion. He has sired many ‘Ster’ and ‘Keur’ mares and many approved stallion sons including Farrington, Glennridge and Emillion of World Cup success. His offspring are of International Showjumping standard include Jerome, VDL Jupiter and What a Game. Proving himself to be a versatile sire, Wellington also sired many successful dressage horses including Ceylon and Bolvorms to name but a few.
Umenno’s grandsire, the legendary Nimmerdor, was named KWPN Stallion of the Century. Son of the ‘Preferent’ stallion Farn, the ‘Preferant’ Nimmerdor was the most famous of all the old-fashioned Holstein’s offspring. Nimmerdor has had a tremendous, far-reaching influence upon the world of equestrian breeding and has sired over 50 Approved sons as well as a multitude of International Showjumpers and exceptional brood mares.
Nimmerdors' sire Farn broke the service records. In 1979 he was offered 236 mares. In 1978 he had been awarded the 'Keur' Predicate, in 1991, he was declared 'Preferent', seven years after his death. He left eleven approved sons, 123 'ster', 31 'Keur', 14 'Preferent' and 6 'Prestatie' mares." Farn was the sire of a number of notable International Showjumpers, including Odin N, Black and White, Design and Olympus. Aside from Nimmerdor, Farn sired a number of stallion sons, including: Fanfare, Felix, Garant (ex Flipper), Safari, Telstar and Uddel. By the end of his breeding career, Farn was the sire of 13 approved sons.
Umenno’s dam, Evelien (Ster) was one of 17 offspring out of the Ster Pref mare Solinde. Evelien was one of eight progeny of both Samber and Solinde and is full sister to Sambuco B a fully Licensed stallion with the German warmblood studbook ZfdP.
Evelien herself produced 12 offspring 7 of which have proven themselves in sport the most notable the nine year old mare Pirozet who competed to Z level and Umenno's six year old full brother, Tocher, currently competing at M level Dressage and progressing well. A number of her other progeny have received Keur status and have been valuable additions to the KWPN stud book.
Evelien was a daughter of the world famous Approved coloured stallion Samber another truly versatile stallion, and to date the most famous of all coloured sires.
Samber achieved ZZ level in Showjumping and Grand Prix level in Dressage. Samber has also proven himself a remarkable sire producing versatile offspring succeeding in all Olympic disciplines and remains the only Approved coloured stallion with the K.W.P.N. at present…Samber died in December 2009.
Samber's Dam Tina D was a remarkable mare who produced 19 foals, a number of which obtained Ster, Keur and Prestatie status including Wanda, a Keur Preferent Prestatie mare full sister to Samber. This mare line, commencing with the coloured mare Karoll, a registered Gelders mare of unknown origin is responsible for producing more tobiano sport horses world wide than any other. The origin of her colour has been discussed by many and some have implied that it may well have come from the "Gypsy Cob" of Ireland but the history and origins of tobiano horses identifies that it is much more likely to have stemmed from Asia and Eastern Europe. Their presence has been found on Egyptian tombs as far back as the 4th century B.C. Evidence of their use has been unearthed in the Gobi Desert. Genghis Khan used tobiano coloured horses in his conquests of Asia. Paintings of these horses are plentiful in European art of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.

MCJONNAS.

McJonnas is a very rare Cremello Warmblood Stallion standing at 16HH of Czechoslovakian descent. His cremello colouring is the out come of his double dilute genes. Cremello stallions guarantee palomino foals when bred to chestnut mares. However he can also produce palomino, smokey black or buckskin foals from bay/black mares. McJonnas is Homozygous Creme CrCr Homozygous chestnut ee and Heterozygous Agouti Aa. McJonnas is an athletic horse with good jumping ability from a lineage of performance sport horses. His conformation is correct with three well balanced paces and a very good canter and walk.
McJonnas was successfully graded with the Scottish Sports Horse in March 2008.
His first foals have delighted clients with repeat bookings each year. His pedigree is steeped in history including the greatest foundation lines of the Trakehner coupled with the thoroughbred and the famous Golden Kinsky horses.
McJonnas sire Mineral stands at stud in Czechoslovakia and has sired a great number of sport horses, broodmares and stallions that have been sold around the world. He is a be a popular choice with breeders in his homeland. Mineral is described as being a stallion with very good exterior, impressive looks of dark golden palomino colour. He has very good movement and is very easy to ride. In the 100 day test he had the best mark for rideability and was approved in 1999. Progeny of Mineral are described as being sufficiently powerful, of good type and easy to ride. His best progeny are Centra, Galan, Iluse and Minor, in showjumping and Fanfan and Melante in dressage.
The TB sire Mys x has been recorded as being the best sprinter in the Czech Republic for three consecutive years (1984 -1986) in Czechoslovakia. His sire "Flying Star" (Worden) was second in the Czech Derby and sire of numerous jumpers. "My Flying" a full brother to Mys show jumped to S level (International)
Myjaxa was a descendant of many great steeplechasers including Mocná and Mor winners of the Pardubice steeplechase race.
"Myjava" Mineral's dam was an elite mare, having produced 13 progeny, a number of which have competed with success in both show jumping and dressage. She was the daughter of one of the best palomino stallions in the Czech republic "Marin Lipský"
Myjava also produced two other stallions asides Mineral, his full brother "Mistral" and "My Boy" used for breeding in Germany (also known as "Oklan" Pictured Left) My Boy was a son of the Russian Trakehner stallion "Obvod"
"Myjava's" daughter the buckskin mare Mija by "Amon" competed up to Grand Prix in show jumping.
The bloodlines of "Marin Lipský" appears in many pedigrees of successful sport horses sporting the golden robes of palomino and buckskin horses throughout the world.
Marin Lipský was the result of the line breeding of yet another famous racing palomino "Cesar" pictured left who was a successful racehorse in 1856 and who's lines trace back to what is believed to be the founder of the ancient Bohemian Golden riding Horses developed by Count Octavian Kinsky, founder of the Equus Kinsky stud book.
The maternal damline introduces yet more of the famous Kinsky bloodlines, this time through the grand dam "Alena" by the famous palomino show jumper "Almhirt Týnský" by Almhirt.
Almhirt Týnský pictured left, competed in Germany under the name "Controversy" and was successful at M level (1.40 m) He was one of the most popular sires in recent Kinsky breeding.
Standing 1.69m in height, Almhirt Týnský was renown for passing on his willingness to work and kind temperament. It is perhaps the height of Mineral and Almirt combined that seems to prevail to McJonnas's youngstock as he consistantly adds height to his foals despite measuring only 1.64 himself.
McJonnas's dam "Nugeta" reveals a pedigree steeped in the influential bloodlines and history of the Russian Trakehner.
Her sire "Quonium Zapusky" traces back to several of the greatest foundation Trakehner sires of today through the bloodlines of "Quonium" (ex Gavor) pictured left by Guido.
From Guido's sire line stemmed the famous horses Marduc, Anduc, Hyllos, Solero TSF and Creon who eventually led to Komet and thus Doruto, the most influential Trakehner dressage sire of the KWPN today.
Guido's sire Pythagaros was awarded "Elite" status by the Trakehner Verband. The dark bay stallion combined the blood of the two of the greatest Trakehner sires of the century "Dampfross out of "Pechmarie" by "Tempelhüter" and proved to be the leading sire prior to WWII between 1933-1944 siring over 40 stallion sons during his reign. His son Totilas and daughter Tapete were instrumental in revitalizing the breed after the war.
Pythagaro's influence even today is still strong through his sons: Guido, Creon and Eife,. Gunnar, Herzbube, EH Leonardo and EH Argument. Argument and Eifel became foundation stallions in Russia producing the stallion sons , "Waitaki" and "Abrek"
Pythagoras' Daughters; Hansastadt, Isola Madre and Alraune were of importance for establishing strong dam lines, and in addition to the fore mentioned stallions, his sons; "Keith", "Markwart", "Sporn" "Suomar" and Pilgrim made sure the lines continued.
Damfross, Pythagaros's' sire came from the private stud farm of Lauszus in Stepponaten, county, Ragnit, in East Prussia. Born in 1913 and acquired by Trakehnen as a chief sire in 1923. He remained active until 1933. His sire "Dingo" out of "Laura" by "Passvan" was a son of the legendary "Flügel" a stallion that very much stamped his type into the Trakehner breed, something that is often referred to today as "Flügel-type" .
Dampfross was very much the prototype of the warmblood horse, well-tempered, with an impeccable mind, outstanding powerful movement, excellent health and high general athleticism. Experts agree that even today he would stand at the top of any warmblood breed. Dampfross sired 38 approved sons and no less than 35 of his daughters were recruited for the famous Trakehner mare herds. His most influential son for the Trakehner breed was by far Pythagoras, in Hanover, it was Semper Idem who redefined the meaning of "athletic show jumper", even to this day, his descendant Stakkato stands at stud in Celle in 2006.
Pythagaros's dams sire Tempelhüter was chief sire in Trakehner (1916-1931) and was considered as the perfect example of the Trakehner horse. As illustration of his unrivaled significance, a statue of this magnificent stallion was erected in front of the Castle at Trakehnen where it remained until it was taken to Russia after World War II and was placed in front of the Russian Horse Museum in Moscow.
During a somewhat emotional and tearful ceremony an exact replica of the statue was made in the early 1970s by Hans-Joachim Köhler and revealed to the public in front of the Horse Museum in Verden, Germany.
Retruning to Quoniam Zapusky's dam Hilda was a daughter of Furioso Sedlec. This sire line stems back to Furioso XVIII - K awarded "Supreme Elite" and remained an influential sire in the Czech Republic standing at the National Stud farm Kladruby. Kladruby stud was founded in 1579 by the Emperor of Rome and the Czech King Rudolf II.
The Furioso sire line eventually leads us back to the foundation Thoroughbred sires of Sir Peter Teazle, High Flyer, and as far as records go to the infamous Black Arabian Stallion Byerly Turk and Godolphin
PERFORMANCE RECORD.
He has commenced his career in the Dressage arena. On his first three unaffiliated outings he has been placed respectively third, second and first in his prelim and novice tests scoring consistently over 70%. McJonnas qualified for the Scottish Regional Finals at his second affiliated show at Dabbs Equestrian Centre.
PROGENY.
His progeny are exceptionally calm and affectionate with strong top lines, well defined limbs and beautiful faces with the additional bonus of guaranteed "colourful" robes of gold, ranging from caramel and mink shades of buckskins with black manes and tails, chocolate and amber shaded smokey blacks and palomino's ranging from all shades of gold. The diversity of colours are always fascinating to observe as they change, which adds a little more excitement and interest as we ponder how they will turn out. He has crossed well with thoroughbreds, natives, Irish Sport Horses and warmblood mares.
AMOUREUX.

http://www.umenno.com/amoureux_H&H.jpg clipping from Horse and Hound on 24th JUNE 2010
Amoureux: Medium Level Dressage Black bay colt 17hh and still growing with a pedigree of legendry ancestry. Expressive, head turning, and that "look at me factor" Modern, long legged and refined he possesses three equally good paces, a ground covering walk, oozing elasticity and suppleness in his trot and an uphill canter that springs from the ground with ease and lightness. As if that wasn't enough Amoureux has a fabulous jump.
Amoureux has already proven popular as a sire in his first seasons at stud with both amateur and professional breeders. His first foals have now arrived demostrating that he refines the head, adds length of limb and neck and lifts the forehand producing exceptionally light footed foals with great lift in both knee and hock carriage.
Sired by the Belgian approved dual purpose stallion Saros Van 'T Gestelhof a son of G Ramiro Z out of a Pik Koenig x Wendkries mare sired the Belgium champion foal 2003 and currently has an exterior index of 188 earning him elite status at the young age of seven. He had obtained over 50 victories from the age of 4 – 7 with 17 wins at Prix st Georges, placing 4th at the World Championships in Verden in the six year old class. Other wins include the Belgian 4, 5 and six year old Dressage Champion title.
Saros' progeny are equally as talented in Showjumping as they are in Dressage. Saros's sire is the famous G Ramiro Z who jumped himself in classes of 2m.20 and perhaps most renown as sire of famous Olympic gold medallist Ratina Z who was herself produced out of the famous Holstein mare Heureka Z This combination of German bloodlines has already proven to be a winning combination.
Saros's dam Erle carries Elite status, claiming the National Champion mare titles in 1983 1984 & 1985 and mother to a number of Dressage horses, Le Primo who won several victories Z 2 LRV with Louis Van Gestel, Bronze medal Belgian Championship with Leen Cools, Pancho, Belgian vice champion 4 year old horses with Els Michiels, Bronze medal Swiss championship, Rianta - several victories Z 2 LRV with Wilfried Mondelaers & Ultra, an Elite mare. Erle also proved herself in competition with successful results up to S level.
Erle's sire Pik Konig A “top hereditary transmitter of show-jumpers, some of whose progeny managed to jump into the higher spheres of Dressage Sired 19 Approved sons including Pik Bube I, 242 main studbok mares, 22 State Premium mares with a sports index overall of 129, dressage 126, jumping 131. Pik Konigs' Thoroughbred sire Pik As, 1949 was most reknown for his ability as a sire, passing on his beautiful movement and great Showjumping ability. He Stood at Celle 1953-1969. Genetic transmitter with a lot of potential. Sired world class showjumpers & 4 approved sons, in 1981 ranked 13 as German sire of competiton horses. Sire. Her dams sire Wendekreis adds once again the combination of both Showjumping and Dressage genetics.
Amoureux's dam Ruby is by The bay Krack C who has been one of the most successful KWPN Dressage horses on the International show scene. Under Anky van Grunsven, Krack C the famous Dressage mount of Anky Van Grunsven by the Keur preferent Holstein descendant Flemmingh. Krack C has no less than nine licensed sons with the KWPN studbook, two in Germany and one with the NRPS society. Ruby has produced two ster mares with all of her progeny obtaining premiums.
Her own dam Zita has not only proven herself in Dressage competing succesfully to M level but has produced two Z1 level Dressage horses, Qualitys Pride and Dorita along with no less than five ster mares one of which is Felita who herself is a Ster Preferent mare who is also found in the damline of our Goodtimes mare Velita.
Flemmingh was born in 1987 in Germany. Bred by H.C. Albertsen from Behrendorf, Germany, the bay stallion was by the Holsteiner Lacapo out of Texas (Carneval x Lorenz). As a 3-year old he went to Holland for the licensing and became one of the best performers at the 1990 KWPN Stallion Performance Test, especially excelling in Showjumping.
Flemmingh became a top producer of successful International sport horses. His most famous Dressage progeny are Anky van Grunsven's Grand Prix horse Krack C, Edward Gal's former medall winning horse Lingh and the current Pan American gold medallist Regent (under American Christopher Hickey). Other International winning horses by Flemmingh are Gemma Green's O'Brian, Imke Schellekens' Melvin, and the U.S. young horse champion Up to Date (under Jan Brons)
With such an impressive pedigree, Amoureux will be produced for a career in Dressage but the combination of his bloodlines assures him of every possible success in the Showjumping arena perhaps at a later stage.
